Athens, Greece

Arriving at our apartment we were staying in, after having a local translate the map for us to get there. We were in love, we had towels, a kitchen, a super comfy bed, and a 2 Tvs! We relaxed and showered and very much enjoyed it. The room name was Hephaestus the God of fire. He made all the weapons of the Olympic Gods.

We wanted to see the Panathenaic Stadium, so we walked there and did the tour. It was very cool to learn about the secret entrances were girls would dance Naked at night. We learned about the special seats for the Kings and Queens, and the statue heads had a young athlte and an old man looking back on his days.

That night we cooked some pasta in and watched Bird Box which was a really good movie! Oh how did that feel nice to cook and lay on a couch!

Our mext Morning we went to the acropolis. It was a nice sunny morning so the hike up was beautiful. Walking up the slope side and down the east side we saw it all! It has breathtaking views.

We then headed to get some local street food, the place was called FalaFellas. It is a pita with meatballs, it was tastey but we were not very hungry. We then headed to do a hike up to Mount lyccabetus. Some stunning views, pictures do not give it justice.

After, hiking down. We took and nap and headdd out to find food. We met some very nice locals in a wine shop who were telling us how cold Mykonos would be. We enjoyed wine and got Greek salads to go. Heading home to pack and enjoy 1 more night In luxury. The people in Greece have been oh so friendly and telling us about culture and all the symbols. I purcjased a ring that has circles that means long sweet life( I swear if I loose it, Kayla will not get on a plane with me )
