Day 1

After accidentally booking a flight for January 31st instead of December 31st, we found ourselves in Iceland with a 12 hour layover. We ended up being able to catch an earlier flight which was great! Landing in London, England. We quickly learned we needed a train ticket and there were lots of closurses. We soon figured it out and ended up at our hostel Clink 78. Beautiful building on the outside located in Kings Cross. The hostel was okay, beds were super close to each other and very tiny room, with only co-ed rooms left. The showers were not ideal. This hostel is styled like a prison.

We went dinner down the street at Pizza Union, it was a close walk and tasted pretty good!

It was new years eve so we wanted to see the fireworks. We were told we needed to get there early!

We made our way to Primrose Hill the highest point in the area. It wasn’t crowded so we went to a pub nearby for a beer.

We got some snacks and headed to the top of the hill, not realizing we would be sitting on wet ground waiting for 3 hours with 30min bathroom lines. The fireworks were shot off at the London Eye. They were pretty cool to watch! Leaving the area was tricky, we lost eachother for about 15min in a crowd of thousands of people. Finally finding each other we headed to what we thought was home. After ,asking 3 police officers, we found the station and it was closed. Following thousands of people we took 3 trains home and made It back to prision, after a quick sleep we slept in. This hostel is a great location to Kings Cross. It was good for 1 night to be in that area!

Day 2

Not wanting to stay in prision, we went and had an English breakfast and found a new hostel In the city by tower hill.

Wombats hostel located .5 miles away from Tower Hill We checked in and headed to see Tower Hill and London Bridge! On our way we stopped at St. Katherine’s docks, a very cute little area!

It was New Years day so Lots of resturaunts were closed. We walked through an Old Market north of Algate East, would have been really cool if everything was open. We ended up at a restruant by Tower Hill and it did the job for the night!

Bestfriends and beer still fun! Even if the waiterspill my salad all over me, oopsy

Day 3

We woke up early and headed to catch a Hop on Hop off bus ( cost 30 pounds).

Our first stop was Buckingham Pallace. When we arrived there were hundreds of people standing around. We realized the changing of the Guards was happening in an hour. So we waited for that, the crowd grew very large. It was quite confusing to know where to stand. We walked all around it and saw different walks and marches. At the end we were very close to the guards exiting!

We then headed to Hyde Park where there was a Winter Carnival going on, free entry. We had lunch here and some delicious churros!

We then headed to St. Paul’s Cathedrial. We did the full tour( including over 300 stairs ). This was very cool to see. Was definetly worth 20 pounds to learn and view!

Below is a view from the Stone Gallary inside the Cathedrial.

The Below Zero Ice Bar was super cool. 16 pounds to be cold? Yes! It’s a great experience! This is in a nice shopping area, note the lululemon bag.

Tips: Before you buy a hop on hop off tour, make sure it will be worth the money. We found all the things we wanted to see it was faster to take the tube!

good walking shoes! We walked between 8-12 miles a day!

Get and Oyster Card to go on all the trains

local food!

Evergone is nice and speaks English hahah

I hope to see you soon London, you stole a piece of me in 3 days:)
