The Ski Bum

Being a ski instructor at Powderhorn Mountain Resort has made this one of my best winters yet. I teach 5-6 days a week and free ski on my days off. My goggle tan is in full force since middle of February. I thrive off of seeing a new student learn to stop, or get off of the chairlift. Getting othrs to love being on the mountain as much as I do is so inspiring. Seeing a 4 year old starting to make parallel turns can make anyone’s day better! Learning to snowboard and teach snowboarding all in one week, shows ambition and a smile and you can do anything you set your mind to.

Powderhorn is located on top of the Mesa in Colorado, 45 minutes outside of Grand Junction, Colorado. This is a little gem. Getting some of the most snow in Colorado, to its super fun boulder fields, from it’s family resort feel. Makes it an amazing place to go. Super fun tree skiing, finding new lines at 2pm on a powder day. This resort stole my heart one turn at a time.
